Polis and Latchi
Polis is a small town overlooking the Chrysochou Bay and Latchi is a small fishing harbour with pebble beach and several tavernas offering freshly caught fish and meze.
Quiet bars and cafes can also be found at the harbour for a refreshing drink during the hot day as well as a lovely cocktail at night. There are also some supermarkets and souvenir shops from where you can buy anything that you need to use at the villa.
The sandy/pebbly beaches nestling on the Akamas Peninsula / National Park are one of the best and cleanest in the island, with cool waters and gentle summer breezes.
If you enjoy walking then you are definitely going to enjoy the many nature paths available in the area including the trail of the ancient Greek Gods Aphrodite and Adonis. The baths of Aphrodite are located just 10 minutes drive from the villas.
If you are keen on water sports, you will be pleased to know that you are able to do scuba diving, boat parachute, wind surfing, canoeing, drive jet skies and speedboats.
Why not take a boat trip with Koulla or Nafsika and if you're brave enough go and see Mahimos Boat Hire and rent a speed boat for the day. A few minutes along the coast takes you to the Baths of Aphrodite. The bays here are ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
The westernmost tip of Cyprus is unique in the Greek part of Cyprus, not only for its beauty but also for due to lack of development the natural habitat remained intact. With spectacular views and deserted sandy beaches, Akamas Peninsula starts only 10 minutes drive from the villas with a variety of walks and trails. Rent a mountain bike to explore the area is another option for consideration.
On the beaches Green and Loggerhead Turtles come up to lay their eggs, and occasionally a Monk Seal may be seen.
